Avocado and Lime Tuna Salad

Updated: May 9 staple everyone has in their pantry is a can of tuna. I love the tuna in extra virgin olive oil. But you be you and get your favorite can of tuna. Our Avocado and Lime Tuna Salad has no mayonnaise. Just delicious options thrown in from the vegetables from the Refreshing quinoa salad, I had already chopped.

We all have a can of Tuna in our pantry

My daughter Genevieve loves meal prepping. She is a busy girl and likes to stay healthy. She is a personal trainer on Nutrition and staying in shape. This is the perfect meal prep for lunch or snack with some crackers at your desk, or after workout. Tuna is full of protein and has huge health benefits.

Health benefits - Promotes Heart Health

Tuna is a source of heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids, including DHA and EPA

May decrease the risk of dementia

The omega-3 fatty acids in tuna compete with pro-inflammatory omega-6s to block inflammation at the cellular level, lowering the risk of vascular cognitive impairment and dementia.

Counters Age-Related Muscle Loss (Sarcopenia)

The combination of fatty acids and protein in tuna can help stay strong with age.

Supports Blood Sugar Control

Tuna is free of carbohydrates and provides beneficial nutrients for diabetes management. The American Diabetes Association has listed fish high in omega-3s, including albacore tuna, on their list of top 10 superfoods. They officially recommend eating fish twice per week to help manage diabetes.

The recipe for our Avocado and Lime Salad:

Can of tuna -drain the oil

1/2 tablespoon of red onion already chopped from the Refreshing Quinoa Salad

McCormick Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning Get it at
